Five Elks
05:44
|
|
||
Mountains are bleeding white
as pristine waters go running by.
Cooling my feet in the ice cold stream,
I won’t tell you but I wish you were here
Diamonds flow in the brook.
Where everything is soaked in beauty,
five elks stop to take a look.
Honestly I’d like to share all this with you
They got super synthesizers.
They fly on aerodynamic shoes.
I got a squirrel and a bad sprain
and love the way they don’t give a damn.
Pale baths they never knew,
moving clouds drag the mountains to you.
No panic lights, no big city sins.
I won’t tell you but I wish you were here
Nature’s calling you to blend with it.
Lay your weary mind on the green.
Butterflies swinging in the scene.
Now rest your eyes, don’t say a thing.
Rest your eyes, don’t say a thing.
Rest your eyes, don’t say a thing.

How The West Was Lost
03:32
|
|
||
Didn't know why he always stayed at home.
Horseriding out he never came along.
These reins have got entangled,
whiskey in hand we´ll talk,
but how the west was lost is something I ignore.
She came in, a thief, looked like a queen.
Fooled everyone, stole everything.
So now she's far away
and our love is a wreck,
hope we can get on as friends

A Picture Masterly Made
04:58
|
|
||
See what we were see what we are.
An adventure book reminds us
all tales we won't play,
everytime we're getting late.
Sometimes I feel so tired
watching the wheels rolling by,
hoping life finally hears
the sound that breaks in here.
Melody starts,
washes the sand,
moves like a wave and
breaks like a glass.
This is the sound
that keeps me alive
The morning gets me up, telling it’s time.
The song it gets a shine, sun slips down.
Oh can’t you hear it now? Come on gather round.
Minds in motion, soulful emotions,
everyday, everyone,
we all need this sound we cannot live without.
The things we do, the chords we play.
The last time we’re getting way late.
A picture masterly made
represents all that I am

She's A Gem
08:29
|
|
||
Her room is a mess.
Her mind is a hole.
She thinks I'm in love
with one of her kind.
I've set it aside,
on a side of the road...
she's a gem
Her mouth is the fruit
that hangs from her nose.
Her eyes tell me
all I need to know
If there's nothing inside
there's nothing to hide...
she's a gem
She swings like a fool,
as fool as can be.
She's black and blue,
she's white as cream
No rabbit will jump
out of her hat,
hats off to her...
she's a gem

There’re bugs everywhere
The country sun makes them glare
All we need’s a track long enough we can walk down
Catch a glimpse of the swarm
These funny little bugs around
Stealing a stub from your brother-in-law
Let’s hear what they whisper deep in your ear:
“From the muck that surrounds us all
we were born as Mother Nature’s sons.
Now excuse us, it’s supper time”
A thousand people at sight
The country sun makes them hide
All they need’s a highway long enough they can go down
Caught a glimpse of the swarm
Those funny little dudes around
Stealing a stub from your brother-in-law
Let’s hear what they whisper deep in your ear:
turn this upside down
turn this upside down
turn this upside down
turn this upside down
From a love that surrounds us all
we were born as Mother Nature’s sons.
Now excuse us, it’s supper time

Recipe For A Dream
04:23
|
|
||
Inside for a dream
have you ever been?
Have you ever wonder why?
It's not very far
but far will you be when you're in.
Get me to my dream on time.
Shades of green, joy and pink.
Here is the plastic for your dream.
Apples and sparks,
Rhinos, and all that jazz.
Wise man, he never tells a lie.
Keep the secret as he would.
This is a dream for me and you.

Dorothy By The Beach
04:24
|
|
||
We were Benji, me and you.
It was the summer of....
We saw the ship leaving the beach,
"I love you", you read her lips.
You were younger, didn´t care.
Time doesn´t matter when there´s....
Life´s too short to stop and think.
It doesn´t matter, there´s love to share.
We saw the ship leaving the beach,
"I love you" you read her lips.
Herman I will always remember what you told me:
"Always trying to get that girl
but you know it´s like picking up the sand.
It rolls down the palm of my hand
like the tears on my face the night when we were one"
But i´m sure you´ll get some sand if you close your hand.
A glass, a bottle, a dying cigarette;
you could hardly hear the music.
While you discovered love, you could only hear
the breaking waves, the silent breeze
Then at the porch, when she said bye
you couldn´t hear the name she cried.
And in the morning when you read those lines
knew you had lost Hermie last night
You could never understand,
no you never saw her again, each
time when there´s something new that you find
there´re some other things you leave behind

You must learn to ride before you try to hide
and walk right out the door.
You must learn to fly before you try to dive
and drown deep like a stone.
You should grow those daisies in your mind.
Leave behind earthly things of other kind.
You should quit that shiver and head right into the shoot-out,
just tell her now.
You should change your teeth, don’t slap your face, be one of us,
successful riders.
You should grow those daisies in your mind.
Leave behind earthly things of other kind.
You should grow those daisies in your mind.
Leave behind earthly things of other kind.
She smokes on one upside-down glass of water,
puffs the fog like that yeah she’s a proud girl.
She made it downhill, she is a spring of summers,
she’s a well of life.
Referees the fight,
she hates the postman.
She smokes on one upside-down glass of water,
puffs the fog like that yeah she’s a proud girl.
She made it downhill, she is a spring of summers,
she’s a well of life.
Referees the fight,
she hates the postman.

Some Burds
04:17
|
|
||
Some burds just wanna have fun,
some deserve what they got.
Some tell you things as they are,
some like tricks and won't do that.
And if you should see one how
would you know its kind?
Some burds they sing like doo doo doo
some sweet songs when they leave you alone.
Others tell you blah blah blah
lots of lies and pack up things to go.
Know-it-alls will come back when the wind blows on our way,
but there're some burds I never want to see again.
Some burds they suck you dry,
what we call vampires.
Some use to wear a disguise,
some are true, some are not.
But if I should see one now
I would know which kind.
Some burds they sing like doo doo doo
some sweet songs when they leave you alone.
Others tell you blah blah blah
lots of lies and pack up things to go.
Know-it-alls will come back when the wind blows on our way,
but there're some burds I never want to see again.
Know-it-alls will come back when the wind blows on our way,
but there're some burds I never want to see again.
I never want to see again
I never want to see again

Trees With Eyes
07:32
|
|
||
I was safe riding on horseback
on well-meanings path.
Got lost in the woods
among trees with eyes.
Had a few games
and lost all my bucks.
And not to mention time.
Now that all judgments come drifting through the air
is when I least care.
Must have been high, but it’s hard when you laugh.
And when you cried, how I laughed.
We ran out of smiles and dim shone my star,
dim that night.
Well known for being good at fooling myself,
never meant to fool no one else.
This little game
of you and me’s
a serious waste.
It’s easy to see.
You failed in love,
you fell in love
face on the floor.
These trees with eyes and mouths won’t help much.
Me and you,
if we’d been smarter.

You pick me up, push me down,
I never know what is all about
You should be ashamed, play it fair.
I can’t help thinking to myself
“She treats me bad,
but I gotta make her mine
cause she’s the wild honey”
Don’t know much about love.
Well I don’t know much about anything,
but her love’s as dull as wild is yours,
and that thing’s for sure.
